ক্রিজে পা মাড়িয়ে নতুন বিতর্কে স্মিথ, টুইটারে নিন্দার ঝড়
বল টেম্পারিং কাণ্ড তার ক্রিকেট জীবন থেকে কেড়ে নিয়েছিল বড় একটি সময়। এবার নতুন বিতর্ক উসকে দিলেন স্টিভ স্মিথ। অস্ট্রেলীয় তারকা সিডনি টেস্টের শেষ দিন ক্রিজে পা মাড়িয়ে সমালোচনার কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতে।
ধ্রুপদী ব্যাটিং প্রদর্শন করে অবিশ্বাস্যভাবে সিডনি টেস্ট ড্র করেছে ভারত। জয়ের খুব কাছে গিয়েও যখন জিততে পারছিল না অজিরা, তখনই স্মিথ অবিশ্বাস্য কাজটি করে বসেন। এমন কাজে তার ক্রিকেটীয় স্পিরিট ও স্পোর্টসম্যানশিপ নিয়েও প্রশ্ন উঠছে।

সিডনি টেস্টের শেষ দিন প্রবল চাপের মুখে থেকে ভারতকে ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর সুযোগ এনে দেন রিশাভ পান্ট। দ্বিতীয় সেশনের ড্রিংকস ব্রেকের সময় পপিং ক্রিজে ব্যাটসম্যানদের দাঁড়ানোর জায়গায় স্মিথ জুতা দিয়ে পিচ ঘষেন, যা ধরা পড়ে স্ট্যাম্প ক্যামেরায়। স্মিথ মূলত পান্টের গার্ডে জুতা দিয়ে ঘষে দাগ মুছবার চেষ্টা করেছেন। স্মিথ চলে যাওয়ার নতুন করে গার্ড মার্ক করে ব্যাটিং শুরু করেন পান্ট।
